hey guys im looking into a set of longtubes and im trying to decide b/t the slp's hookers and kooks. my car has the prokit on it! which should i go with and anyone know where i can find a decent deal on a set of kooks?

um its without a doubt the kooks. slp's have issues with clearance/scraping. kooks are just hands down the best headers out there right now(along with qtp). hmm i think a couple sponsers had a special going, check in the group purchase section. they should run you about $750 about now.

Kooks are good but you can't go wrong with Hookers either. I have SLP and plan on switching them out for the hookers. You can find them pretty cheap too.

Every time I've heard SLP's headers brought up in discussion, people don't like how low they hang. If you're already lowered, than for sure listen to the above advise.

If you're lowered you should try the MACs and just port the primaries.

Stainless Works long tubes have fantastic ground clearance. Mainly due to the 2.5" collectors and Y pipe. Also make darn good power. Made 381 hp on my 2001 M6 with a 224 cam, slp lid, and cutout. Stock TB & Pulley!
