Default ls6 power numbers

[CENTER]their seems to be some questions as to the power output of a stock ls-6 as installed in a cts-v.all data is std corrected.

we took a 2004 cts-v engine and baselined it with the factory cast exhaust and the cats, stock throttle body, mass air sensor with the screens in and no air cleaner just the dyno stack. here's the numbers. i'm only going to give three data points 4000rpm, peak torque, and peak power.

torque hp
stock 4000 388 296
5100 424 411
6500 359 444
take away a few hp for power steering and alternator, air filter restriction.
and you end up above the adv. number.you can take about -16 hp to get to sae at 6500 rpm.

i then put a set of our c-5 dyno headers on and got the following. no cats

with tpis c-5 header

4000 406 309
4700 446 399
5700 431 468
6400 379 462

our new tpis cts-v header has longer primarys and therefore will hav a little more low end punch.

myron c.

ps the charts are a little messed up and i don't know how to fix.
