Flashing your converter!!

I've heard in some cases you have to "flash" your stall converter to get to its full potential. What does this term "flash" mean?? Any help guys??

flashing it means too stomp on it from an idle. stalling it up means too brake torque it untill you can not hold the car still on the starting line.
