That's what I have heard. Just curious if it's true. IF it is that means it should be able to handle a slightly more aggressive cam than a stock LS1 head.

ls6 castings have a d-shaped exhuast port, have a slightly different chamber and (I think) the ports are a tad bigger...the heads do flow a tad better than ls1...

...anyway, not much difference really, ....the ls6 valves are lighter too...
