Default Who has a 10-bolt with the 8.5 rear?

I have one that my brother gave me. I heard they are just as strong as a 12-bolt. How is it holding up if you have one?

The 8.5 (10 bolt) and 8.875 (12 bolt) share the same pinion bearing diameters as well as axles. The only real difference, in this case, is the 0.375" in ring gear diameter. But strength-wise, they are close to being the same...... I'd say just as.
