Default Freeze Plug

Can a freeze plug from the 2001 LS1 be used with a 2001+ LQ4 block?

What kind of freeze plug? Is there an LS1 specific freeze plug? Only thing I am away of using a freeze plug for is the EGR hole in the intake manifold on older LS1's.

Let me try again.... I am referring to the threaded hole in the side of the block by one of the cylinders.

There are 4 threaded holes in the LS1-LQ4 blocks. Two are for oil, the other two are for coolant. They are all universal from one block to another, just make sure you use a dab of teflon paste or pipe dope to make sure you get a good seal.

Are these the part numbers:

oil plugs: 21007339
coolant plugs: 12553191

Are there any other plugs needed for a GM bare block?

TIA.
