Default New hood for my '98 Z28

Since new hood may be in the works for my black Z28, i wanted some input to see what people think i should get.

SS hands down! I have seen some Camaros with cowl hoods, and it looked good from the outside, but from the inside I was not happy. And from the front, it didn't quite flow IMO. Looks bad-*** from the side, but I still say the SS!

Do you need to paint carbon fiber hoods? I don't think you do but I am a when it comes to this. If you do, then my god that is an expensive hood.

I do like the carbon fiber but I will always love the stock SS hood

no you dont have to paint it! the stock one is like $1200-2000 i think! i have even heard it was like $2700. so carbon might not be a bad way to go!

Heh, thanks for the info. ls1speed.com has some non-carbon hoods for like 700, but then you have to paint it, so the carbon does sound really good!

You can find an SS hood for under 600 bucks.. I got my oem one for less than that.. just gotta look
