options for abs on 12 bolt or nine inch

options for abs on 12 bolt or nine inch im new to this axle stuff and i have a few questions.
1. what happens if i buy a moser housing and all parts separate and have a good shop put it together with no abs. my car has no tcs just abs. will this mess anything up? will the brakes still work with no abs. will i need any additional parts to not use the abs?
2. what is the best thing to do about getting backing plates installed? do i use the ones that are on my stock rearend?
