1.8 seconds
3825 race weight bone stock A4 02 TA, what do you guys think will drop an ET down 1.8 seconds?
Thanks.
I was thinking
Lid/filter, FTRA, Corsa catback, ported TB, QTP LT headers, cat Y pipe, cutout, Vig 3200, 315 nittos, LCAs, what else?
BTW no raceweight reductions
Thanks.

Re: 1.8 seconds
Nittos and convertor alone could net you a sub 1.8 60'. The weight is whats gonna kill you. Mine is a sled also, but full interior and lowered is how I run mine. My best on Nittos w/ a SY3500 is 1.66, weighing in at almost #3700.

Re: 1.8 seconds
Last time I raced I was 3720, I put that # out there because I figure 17x11s and the extra rubber from the tires should add a few pounds, doubt that much, but I just like to make sure

Re: 1.8 seconds
I don't think he meant 60ft.
I am thinking that 1.8 seconds is alot to drop with just external.
This is what I see...
vig - about .5
headers - about .2-.3 off the .5
catback, air, and tires, mabybe another .1 and some MPH
If you are running a 13.3 lets say, assuming you cut at least a 1.7 - 1.8 60 these mods should get you to 12.5-12.4. That should be aboout right considering you have the LS6 intake.
What I would ALSO do is:
-crank pulley worth maybe another .1 or .15
-hals make you consistent and sometimes takes .1-.2 or more off because of better 60 times
-computer tuning for shift points at least, this can make your car faster by another .1-.3 depending on what is done and how badly the car needed it.
The hals can wait, but I would at least do the crank pulley and a shift point or full tune.
Keep in mind that these are guesstimates and the law of diminishing returns.
I would say with the mods I suggested, you may be able to hit 11s, but your car is a bit heavy.
Good luck!
Nick

Re: 1.8 seconds
Yeah thats what I meant, 1.8 of my entire ET, not a 1.8 60'..... The vig/tires alone should easily net me that 60'.
(I weigh 200lbs) My raceweight will probably be high 3700's, but my goal is a 12.25-12.5 on an everyday car, I ran a 13.8 bone stock, but I think my car has gotten much faster since then, considering I only had like 4000 miles on the car at the time.
You think maybe a mild cam like the LS6 or B1 or comparable will get me into that 12.25-12.5

Re: 1.8 seconds
ok good, can't be too hard then since one guy did without headers <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Maybe with my weight, i'll just have the get a high 11s car to hit low 12s
