Is hitting the limitor b/w shifts hurt mph?
my car has had some modifications over the winter including a new set of 28x9" et drags. so i was tagging the limitor HARD about 5-6 times b/w the 2-3 shift. it laid on the limitor a solid 3-5 tenths of a second! lol. gonna have to get that changed via edit pretty soon. i was trapping 116.8 mph with my cam only car and pretty heavy (only weight reduction back seat, front sway bar, and spare/jack) and my 220 lbs *** doest help! i wonder what my mph would have been? also i need to wire a convertor lock-up switch. i think that will give me a mph or so too.

Bouncing off of the rev limiter, even for a short time, will definately hurt you ET/MPH figures some. It's hard to say how much, but I'd take a guess that you'll gain ~1-2mph when you get things straightened out.

Re: Is hitting the limitor b/w shifts hurt mph?
Well, my car ran 12.2 and I was hitting the limiter on the 2-3 shift about 3 times before it would shift.. I bumped up my limiter and ran back to back 11.9's....
Does that answer the question for ya?
