Default those who have removed their airbags

I just finished removing both of my airbags as well as the inertia sensor from in the center console and now I have a service vehicle light. I took the opportunity to tape off the various lights that are always illuminated on the dash while I was in there (ABS, Air bag, seatbelts) but I wasn't aware that the service vehicle light would be lit as well as the air bag...

My question to you guys is what lights did you have following your removal of the airbags and inertia module?? Also, does anyone know if Atap will read the service vehicle light, or would a snap-on tool be the better option?

My dash is lit up like a xmas tree. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I didn't cover any lights in the dash. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

The above will be another mod that we need to do over this next off season. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Good luck to finding out how to turn off the service vehicle light. Let me know how it turns out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Jump the plugs from the air bags with a 100 ohm resister. I did this like 3 years ago and I "THINK" it is a 100 ohm from what I can remember. It's been awhile and I have a very few brain cells left. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Maybe someone could post and confirm this.

Anyway, NO LIGHTS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Could you do me a favor and weigh everything you removed related to the airbags?

Thanks!

I have been told the drivers side is 5-7 pounds.
The passenger side can be as much as 15+ w/ the bracket in there?? I still have mine in there but I'm curious.

Thanks
