Default What kind of power does is take for low 60'?

I have established a goal for this raceseason, i want to hit 12's n/a in denver on minimal mods with a cough cough LT1 engine. Right now the engine is running great and i have a few more mods to do before im ready to make some initial runs at bandimere.

Hanging out here a lot i have noticed that you ls1's get killer times with real high stall converters and big slicks. How much is going to a full out 3500 or higher stall, 28" slicks, and other suspension mods really going to help my current setup? Would it be worth it or should i stick with engine mods such as afr heads, nitrous, etc. I would like to go 12's without busting into the engine and i do believe it might be possible but also want your professional insight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

My current mods are below which are not much but a start. I dont now have any times with this engine yet either.
LT1 stock shortblock/heads
hot cam
1.6 rockers
hooker long tubes
slp cai
1le elbow
still working on an exhaust, prolly true duals
3:23 gears
Other than that little minute stuff to go with.

Thanks for any insight!

Get a stall and/or gears. I hear that LT1's don't like real high stall's so I'd recommend a Vig2800. And maybe get some 3.73's.
