thats the oil pressure sending unit. often time broken during an intake install.

OIL PRESSURE sending unit. what do you think it does

you can pick up a new one @ a gm dealer or check with SDPC. where exactly did it break off?

It pretty much broke from the bottom. I can take a picture real quick and show you.

Would this be a simple swap if I buy a new sensor?

No need for a picture b/c the sensor is f'd.

Simple swap with the socket you have to buy from Advance or Autozone. It's about a $9 socket.

yes. but like levi said you can pick one up at your local parts store for 10 bucks so its no biggie.

No, don't even try. It's next to impossible. It only takes 20 minutes to pull the manifold.

Ok, I wish just trying to save some time. But, if it's that difficult I'll just remove the intake manifold, which really doesn't take too much time.
