Default What size rods with my set-up?

-98' LS1 Shortblock
-Stage 2 Absolute Speed 5.3 Heads
-Eagle 4.000" Crank

Should I go with the stock size rods?

I don't know if I'll get any aftermarket pistons or not. Probably gonna go with some fresh stockers.

Thanks.

Let me get this straigh. You just got a 4in crank and u dont want to use forged pistons and rods. My friend u did it *** back words. Get the pistons and rods. If you though a rod it could take out your crank as well. Not worth in IMO. I think u are going to have to get 6.1 rods with the 4in crank. The spec sheet should tell you what rods they recomend.

No, I haven't bought anything yet, but I am saving. I've got the LS1 shortblock. Just wanted some info/opinions. Didn't know for sure or not wether I could use the stock pistons/rods.

with a 4.o stroke crank your stock piston and rod combo will be around.190-.195 thousandths out of the hole i think.i would definitely save up for a rotating assembly.
