Default Louder? Old or New???

I have 99 T/A with mods in sig and it is pretty loud. My dad has a 79 T/A with the 400 Pontiac motor, 4 speed, Black, Gold Firebird on hood, etc., and long tube headers. He had OLD Flowmasters on it, I mean like 20 years old, he got them put on in the early 80s. Problem is he had them reuse the 2.25 inch stock piping and later he put on an H pipe. We just ordered a 2.5 in X pipe with (2) 12" DynoMax Bullet mufflers. We will the exhaust shop fabricate the rest of the exhaust from the LTs to the tips (we will reuse the stock turndown double tips). Will his be louder than mine? It's my setup: LS1 with shorties, 2.5 y pipe (with cats), and TSP Rumbler, which uses I think (1) 18" DynoMax bullet muffler Vs. 400 Pontiac big block, with cam, LTs, true 2.5" duals, X pipe, (2) bullet mufflers, and out the stock tips.

Is he going to be annoying loud? He only drives his car maybe once or twice a month, so it's not a BIG issue, but he would like not to attract any more attention from local law enforcement than necessary, as we live less than a mile away from the nearest station.

It'll be loud.. check the sweet-thunder link in my sig.. Only difference is that the thunders are deeper than bullets..

You'll get an idea..

I heard it, it sounds good. How much ground clearance do you have? I have a custom y pipe and think my clearance is less than yours. Does the fact that he has a bigger displacement have anything to do with the sheer volume of the exhaust note, or will it only affect the tone?
