I am about to put on some Jet-hot headers on my TA. I will be also doing a custom y-pipe with carsounds cats and flowmaster y merge collector. Is it possible to put two cutouts right after the headers? I would just want to open them at the track. I have searched for this setup, but I have not found anyone that has actually done this.

Yes its possible. QTP has Y pipe available with dual cutouts already made for resale. Whoever does the custom Y can probably put them in. It easy to make custom ones on any piece of pipe if the place has a plasma cutter. Muffflex did mine that way on the stock muffler.
