Default Largest Bore???

I have the motor pulled out of the beast now. what is the largest bore i can do on the LS1 block. not being sleeved that is.

do a search. The largest ive seen and ready was safely was .003 which can be none with honing

then how do you pull off a .005 hone when you do a 383 stroker?

i did a search and what came up was .003 safel but theres people doing .007 on 98 blocks and 00 there doing .010

the point is that you HAVE to to .005 hone to install the new pistons for the stroker kits out there, to acheive the 383 cubic inches. since there are more then a handful of 383's around that haven't cracked/dropped a sleeve yet, .005 is apparently a 'safe' hone on stock sleeves. just don't want you to go around posting .003 is the 'safe' level, since its not. not flaming you, just don't want you to get flamed lol.
