Default New converter, slippin trans.

If I only knew it wasn't going to be tunable I'd rebuilt the trans last week when I installed my MidWest stall converter.
Drive around no problem. Even when I manually shift at part throttle it shfts pretty hard. But under full throttle it bangs the limiter going into 3rd.
My tuner tried alot of stuff. The trans shifted fine last week with the truck converter and without a tune. My guys used HPTuners and my motor screams
but the trans won't handle the torque. Trans has 48,000 miles.
Guess it's time for the rebuild.

IMO just get a Rossler or FLP stage 4/5.
Well worth the money spent.
Chuck at FLP carefully asks what parameters (mods) you are racing with and builds the tranny to exceed those requirements. $1995 with exchange. All I can say is WOW, what a difference from stock to FLP Stage 4.
They rock

Might try this before a rebuild...

Thanks for that info SS1421.

Now my questions is if this was the case for me wouldn't my tuner
have seen a change in pressure while logging the runs?

I'll call him tonight and have him review the files as it kinda makes since cause
at part throttle even with the stall it shifts very firm.

This dang thing was about 2 quarts low.
I added the on e I had in the trunk and she is shifting fine now.
A little short shifting but shifting quick non the less.
Now I've got raise my shift points back up from stock and hopefully
TestnTune won't get rained out. I can't wait to try out my new tune
and the converter. Come on 11.99
