Idle tuning... sound related
I have my idle dialed in pretty good, but I notice that the car has two distinct sounds. When I fire it up cold there's a point as it warms up where it sounds down right nasty. Its loud, alot louder than when warmed up even though its idling a little higher and still has a decent lope.
Is it possible to lock in the idle characteristics to not change past this point, right around 111 deg coolant temp? I'm guessing that the thermal characteristics of the motor and exhaust have a lot to do with the sound, so I probaly cant do anything, but it never hurts to ask. If there is a way to keep the sound when either hot or cold, what do I need to lock in? Idle speeds a no brainer, but I'm not sure about what other changes need to be made.
Thanks,
Mike
