question about the valvetrain
would a bad lifter or bent pushrod cause my car to run like crap when accelerating? my car runs fine at idle but when i accelerate around 2k the car starts bogging and i have this tick comming from my passenger side of the car. i checked the plugs and they are tight but the coil packs(the thing that bolts to the valve cover) are just hanging there,, im going to mount it back up tommorow and see whats going on, but i was hoping you guys could give me some info before i start ripping the block apart.

Usually, the pushrods won't make your car "bog". They tend to take power down across the board (most noticible in the higher RPM range 4500 up-trust me, 1st hand experience) and as far as I know won't throw a code. To me, it sounds like that hanging coil pack might be your issue. If it's not that I would look towards something dealing with your fuel or breathing.
I would suggest getting a dyno that has an A/F ratio graph....a good tech could probably give you a good idea what's going on from that.
Good luck.
