Default yank re-stall quesiton

i was just wondering about how long the average yank torque converter lasts. also how much does it cost to get one re-stalled, or fixed or whatever it is called?

My Yank has been in the car for almost a year now with no problems. I want to say I saw someone say a quote on here for about $300 to "re-work" one.
