Default #7 cylinder aweful misfire, checked everything. Tuning?

My #7 cylinder misfires a whole lot more than my other cylinders and vibrates almost like when you accidentally forget to put on a plug wire. I replaced coil pack, spark plug(which has alot of oil residue), and ignition wires, did compression test, and I was hoping that a tune would fix this. Some Speed shops say yes a tune will fix it, some say its a problem. I run an R1 cam with stock tuning. 232/236 .574/.578. I thought I might trade an injector and see what happens. Any thoughts? Thanks,

Wes

A tune can only help w/that cam .. did you have problems before the cam went in or when did it start?

A tune is a goos start. The Cam you have isn't made to run on a stock tune.

Default thanks

Cool, thanks guys. I didn't have problems until very shortly after the cam swap. Everything was fine on my 229/229 .578/.578 cam. They have the same LSA but I think they have different lobe profiles. I'll try an injector and tune it and see what happens.

-Slowhawk, how much is a complete ~12# STS system running these days without installation and tune?
Thanks alot,
Wes
