heads?? & harland sharp question ok guys sorry if this has been asked before, but what would be a good price for a pair of used ls1 heads in generally good shape. Also has anyone had any experience with harlan rocker arms, are they good, is Harlan a good brand for the ls1????? any input would be apreciated.

Our everyday low price is $325 on the Harland Sharp rockers. The heads it depends on the port work. You could get a $300 worthless head or it could be a great buy (assuming they are ported). They could also be way wrong for your setup and cam.

Cons: I just put them on a set AFR 205's. I had to clearance the valve cover shoulder for every one of them. Not a problem on the AFR's because there is so much meat there, much more than stock castings. The other thing I don't like about the HS rockers is they are heavy. I didn't see them float on the dyno, all the way to 6800 rpm with an X-ER grind, but you may want to make sure you have titanium retainers along with strong springs if you plan on using them.
Pros: They look like jewels. I wanted to make plexiglass valve covers and fuel rails so I could see them. They improve the valvetrain geometry at high rpm. They will give you a small hp increase from the roller tip. They fit under my stock valve covers without clearancing them. They are inexpensive compared to the other roller rockers on the market.

I am talking bout used heads not used harland, i saw some heads on ebay for $300 bucks ported and polish, which seemed to good to be true thats why i was asking. The rockers i just want to know about them cause i want to upgrade my drivetrain to some better qualitty and higher performance stuff and harland just seemed to be an awesome deal compared to the rest, and they seem to have a good desing. O by the way i have a 224, 224 cam so i am not sure what port job the head should have.
ps: o and the thign about them being heavy and not getting valve float is actually good aint it?
