Question Help, planing on dying my top soon.

My vert's black top looks like **** with a capital S (pics to come soon). I have been told by some of my friends that know their paint & I can just dye the top black again instead of replacing it. I was wondering how would I do this and what kind of dye do I need to get? Basically I have no idea what I'm doing.

Here is a post from another member. I've been thinking of doing it as well, Eastwood has some vynil paint spray that I think would work I'm just kind of puss about it. IF it didn't turn out good it would be expensive to fix......
