Would would be a good cam setup on a 99 trans am ws6 m6 with an slp exhuast and intake. It is my daily driver, but i want good power and nice loud sound. Which is the best bang for the buck and what else would you recommending upgrading while adding cams?

You might try doing so research, questions like this are answered everyday or just buy the trex cam.

First off you're gonna wanna do some searching and lots of reading to decide what is right for you. Does slp exhaust include headers? If not you'll need those to get the full benifit of a larger cam. You'll need springs, pushrods, being a 99 probably an oil pump and timing chain. Oh yeah, you won't be adding camS, you will be changing A cam.

If the search button isn't a happy place for you, and you're under the impression there is more than one cam in your engine, maybe this project isn't for you...

I'm happy w/ my TR 224 cam, '01 TA engine with no mods other than valvesprings, cam, oil pump, and timing chain. Just a data point.

like a ************. you didn't buy a honda son....this is american pushrod v-8 power here

Read jrp's cam guide found here. After you've read that three or twenty times, you'll be able to ask the real questions that will help you choose a cam(hopefully).

Comp 230/234 on XER lobe on a 114. That cam will idle perfect and make awesome power. Matt Caldwell's car (another board member with this cam) starts right up and idles well even cold. I would look into patriot gold dual spring kit and hardened pushrods.
