doing my intake swap, need to know what this port is?!
ok so on the rear of the intake, but still on the side, there is an electircal connector that has the connector pluged into the front, and in the rear there are 2 vacuum ports. one goes to the intake manifold in the back and the others went to my port that i had on there for AIR system. when i took off the air system i blocked off the lower one and the other was still hooked up to the back of the manifold. i want to knwo what this is and if it is part of the air system. and if i can just unplug it and leave it off when i put the intake back on. thanks

In back of the intake is the oil pressure switch, cam sensor and MAP sensor. Each has an electrical connection. The MAP sensor is the one mounted on the intake. The oil pressure switch is the tall sensor on the driver side on the engine block.
The large vacuum line is the power brake assist. Not sure about the small vacccum.
I would not disconnect any vacuum lines.....

The small line is the vacuum line for the A/C. It lets the A/C swap vents from heater/cool/defrost/etc.
No part of the AIR system is plugged into the intake itself as far as I know.

I think you are talking about the AIR solenoid valve. That is the part on the back drivers side of the intake with the electrical connector coming out of it. It turns the AIR pump shutoff valve(the round part with the AIR hoses going in and out of it) on or off by supplying or depriving it of vacuum. Im not sure but unless you have deleted the AIR system from your PCM, unplugging it may throw a code. Otherwise, if you are not using the AIR system anymore, you don't need it. Just plug the vacuum port it uses on the back of the intake.

I don't remember seeing any electrical connection other than the MAP. The brake booster hose and A/C vent vac line both attach to that same black plastic connector that's attached to the MAP sensor.
Edit : found a better picture - the stock intake is (duh) the one on the left, that's the connector I was describing.
Is it different for 00 models or something ?

ok as confusing as this is gonna be.... lol i drew it up in paint....
small red lines are the vacuum lines in the back of the intake. the SMALL ones that one is for the HVAC controls.
orange are where the air pump lines used to be before i removed them.
bright yellow is the part in question
dark yellow is the electrical connector
