Headers,True Duals, weird 1/8th times??
Ok, I'll try and keep this short, but it's still gonna be long. I ran my car in FL a few months ago(gator national raceway, gainsville FL) with these mods,
SSRA/TSP lid(K&N)/larger MAF ends/cut out/ZR1 rims with 315/35/17 goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3's in back/Eibach springs/bmr SFC's/bmr relocation brackets/bmr LCA's/msd wires/zo6 clutch kit.
I did not lower my tire psi stayed at 30 in the rear and launched from 2000rpm. Full second tree.
R/T .463
60 2.200(sucks)
330 5.825
1/8 8.777
mph 83.58
1/4 13.428
mph 106.25
This is one of the fastest tracks in the U.S, low elevation high humidity.
I ran this same setup here in abilene Tx minus the ssra only had ftra. 22psi rear tires(much higher altitude way lower humidity) half second tree.
R/T .8065(crap)
60 2.0927
330 5.8465
1/8 8.8775
MPH 81.20
Now I installed Jet-hot headers(non emmissions) and tsp true duals and trk 55 plugs. ran again in abilene tx 21.5 psi rear tires launching 3000rpm no spin small red light
R/T .4419
60 2.1654
330 5.8586
1/8 8.8152
MPH 83.46
The MPH is what is throughing me off, I gained over 2MPH with the exhaust(gained good HP) over my old run here in tx, but gained nothing in mph compared to the FL run with just a cut out and no headers. I had a better reaction time, a better 60 and still ran slower at almost the same mph. I don't think the elevation could have made the same HP increase as the headers and TD's, even if it did then I should have at least been running the same times I was in FL since the MPH was the same. What gives? Help me understand what's going on here. Thanks

you can't compare your mph from one track to the next. If you want to go fast you need to worry about getting your 60 ft times down before adding anymore power.
