Default LSX heads compared to SBC heads

I hear people all of the time say that LSX heads are way more complicated to port than the regular SBC heads? Why is this? I would think anyone that knows what to look for porting heads should be able to do porting on LSX heads right? Give me some in put!!!

The main thing you have to remember about porting LS style heads is that GM done thier homework on 'em meaning that you cannot do work in one area and expect a good return out of it like you can a SBC head. Every area that is worked on the LS style head needs that same amount of work done in different areas to not create a port that will back up and have fast areas and areas that suffered because of the work done in another area. That is the same about the SBC heads but they are alot more forgiving than the newer style engine.
