Default 4l60e Problems

What would cause 3rd and 4th to go out on a trans with 1500 miles on it ?

has brand new build with all TCI parts from Thunder Racing... hasn't been to the track except 3 passes on street tires...

Default hey

In most cases we see line rise issues....it's nothing to replace a transmission...it's the transmission controllers in most cases....if you replace the transmission without finding the real reason for failure your jus wasting your time and hard earned cash....hope this helps...Dave

Whats the best way to make sure if the problem is in the trans or the controller.

Best thing to do is to replace with vacuum modulator control for the line pressure - takes all the electronics out of the picture.

I can personally vouch for Rock-On tranny's quality and customer service as I have just recently purchased his Stage4 and am VERY happy! Call Dave and see what he can do for you - he's a hell of a nice guy and can probaly help you out.

Trans Go makes the Modulator Kit - but I'm not sure of what else is involved, as I bought the tranny with everything already installed.

Take it to your tranny guy and have them do a puter scan and line rise check or do what jay recomends and by pass it with a modulator set up...it works really sweet, hope this helps....
