3/4 inch hole on top of header tube... I was leaving the car wash today in first gear around 2500 RPM's and suddenly it sounded like a header gasket blew. Popped the hood open to find a dime sized hole on the top of header tube about 2" from head (cylinder 1). The Jet Hot headers are about three years old and have approximately 10,000 miles on them.
I've never seen/heard of this before...anyone else heard of this???

Do you have the emissions fittings on them? AIR/EGR? If so, and they were blocked off.....you prolly lost your emissions fitting. Which has happened to a number of people on this board. You'll prolly find a few of their threads if you searched.

Yea that is what happend go back to the car wash and look on the gorund for the part the blew off. They come on both headers.It is the air fitting it happend to me back when i use to have them pulling out of a gas station. Find and have some one weld it back on. Get the 2000 deg silver paint and it matches pretty good.
