has anyone noticed any kind of gain from blocking off their egr tube on their headers and intake? considering doing this when i install my headers, but dont know if its worth it.

Sincerely doubt there is any significant gain. People do it mostly when they upgrade to an LS6 intake (no EGR provision on the GM version) or they install a set of headers that have no EGR attachment. The gain comes from the intake or the headers (or both) but not because they removed the EGR.
