Exclamation leaking gasoline?!~!

hi all,

I got down to the city the other day for school, noticed my car stank like a MF'r when I got out. Checked the undercarriage and she was leaking GAS. It was a very slown drip from the plate under the trunk/well in the back. It seems to have stopped now though, and I am about 50miles into the tank. when I opened up the fuel cap, there was gasoline residue ALL over the interior of the recepticle. Is it possible that the silver metal shield there may have gotten stuck open? I definetely didnt spill. very unnerving. going to check it out after the race today. hopefully there is no seal issue. i dunno...

also if any of you remember my hissing engine bay before, I replaced the tensioner pulley and it still hisses like crazy. gonna try the idler next and a new belt. I am pretty sure its a pulley and not a leak anywhere, as my performance is as it should be/has been.

anyways let me know about the gas ideas. TY!

Bradford

Default

that's the location of the tank... I would get under there and find out where exactly it's coming from.
