LS1 Vs. 6.0 truck motor
i am looking for a motor to put in my first gen camaro. i was just going to put in the ls1/t56. but now im hearing about a 6.0 liter truck motor.
i was hoping someone could shed some light on this motor for me. the only thing i know is that it has 6.0 liters of displacement and has an irion block as apposed to aluminium.
what are the ups and downs of this engone Vs. the ls1 for a first gen swap.
i also want to be making about 450 hp at the wheels. would either choice get me there easier? and if i decided to do anything more with it in the future would one be better suited to more power or are both their tollerances high enough that it wouldnt really matter?
im going to be boring and stroking whatever i put in there, so how far could i take that with either one?
thanks a lot to anyone who attempts to help me out a little

is there anything that makes this engine good for boost applications? or is it just cool to have a turbo? (because it deffinitly is cool) but is there any special reason for it?

The 6.0 has lower compression than the 5.7, also the iron block will hold up to more power than the aluminum block (supposedly....Harlan is pushing over 1000 rwhp with an aluminm block.)
Parish is a member here, his truck went high 10's with a turbo 6.0.
