Default side exit exhaust?

i am putting tru duals on my car that stop at the axel what it hurt the performance if i put a 90 bend and brought it out in front of the back tires

No .... it will not hurt performance.. Your eyes... YES...

Make sure that you run cats if you're going to run a side exit exhaust. Do a quick search and you'll find photos from .. Trans AM ...... I can't remember the rest of his name...

Wouldn't it be a clearnace issue.

not if you don't have subframe (large and/or box) connectors........if you do have subframes then you will have to run the exhaust UNDER the subframes then you will hit everything you come across......


what would be really sweet would be if someone made a side exhaust "kit" that included a side scurt like the mustangs have......

A 90º turn wont affect performance. Just check out how many bends the stock (Or even aftermarket) cat back has. I have no ground clearence problems considering that its no lower than my old 3inch y-pipe set-up. Even with SFCs its fine. That of course has a lot to do with the type you get. Some hang so low I cant believe people actually buy them.

nittanymarine has them on his car.

IMO they are ugly on everything... even trucks.
