Default 245/45/17 work on a 9.5 wheel?

I'm in the process of selling my Z06's and ordering some Boyd Coddington Timeless 2's. I want to run a 245/45 on a 17x8 on the front for weight purposes. Only catch is I gotta go ahead and buy tires and put them on a set of wheels I already have until the boyds get here. The front is 9.5 and the 245 is listed as max wheel width being 9. Will this work until I get the other wheels? I'd rather do this than the 255/45 so the heights would match better to a 315/35. Thanks.

Default

I did it with snow tires before. It majorly pinches the tire on the wheel but it never fell off or anything, so I'd say you're fine. Just looks super goofy.
