Default Fuel rail pressure too high

I threw a bunch of codes recently; one code indicated that my fuel rail pressure was too high.

I fugured the round regulator located on the rail (driver side) that is held with a snap ring was the likely cause.

When I went to two parts stores they told me they did not have a listing for a fuel pressure regulator for my car.

Question: What is the round part that is on the rail? Does this regulate fuel pressure and is it the casue of a high fuel pressure code? If not, what else would casue this - bad fuel pump, bad fuel return line, pluged fuel fiilter, etc.?

Thanks...

The round object is a fuel pulse dampener/ balancer. The regulator is in the fuel pump assembly. What code are you getting (the specific number)?

there is not a sensor that measures fuel pressure ???

i would actually measure your fuel pressure to see for yourself before tearing into the fuel system.
