Default lid question , newB

i have read and followed the install U guide, everything went cool, except my front metal retaining clips wont span back fully, the lid is lined up , but still not snappin w/enuff force to hold lid in place, also what should i do w/the oil breather tube, i hooked a K&N filter up to the end of the tube, do i just tuck it away somewhere? thanks,

yea you can tuck it away somewhere, or cut it to length so you don't have a lot of excess tubing....

The lid....is NOT lined up right...get the lid behind pushed back farther...that should lock it down

the front lip of the lid (between the clips) needs to be tucked in behind the lower (stock) black plastic part.

the ends of the lid (either side of the clips) are not tucked in. get the lip positioned right and they will click and hold.

Like this guy said, it might not look right at first BUT that is how it is suppose to fit!

What they said.

Just make sure the lid is slid back far enough into the tabs and pushes down the whole way in the front. It'll seem a bit tight, but that's how it works.

I put a breather on my AIR hose as well. I just zip tied it somewhere (can't remember)

Yeah, push the entire assembly (from lid/MAF/bellows) firmly back onto the TB. Some people need to trim their bellows if they're using a FERNCO or smooth bellows. The front edge of the lid needs to securely tuck into the lip, then the snaps will work fine. Sounds like the assembly needs to be pushed back a bit.

Lid + Lid = Lid

Glad you got yours aligned properly....some lids could potentially crack if not fastened correctly.

It's me!

Actually I found it on uglypeople.com like 5 years ago. I have no clue what is going on. I use it on every forum I post in that uses avatars.
