Default TR230 Cammed SS VS Pullied Cobra's! Vid

The SS in the video is pretty damn nasty. Watch how much the body lifts when he does the 1st gear punch.

Enjoy!

Nice runs. That's a pretty strong SS.

I doubt the dyno powers posted for the Cobra...unless he has a ported blower. Not that it matters a whole lot.

He has no reason to lie about his numbers. We have ran a bunch of times, and we're just a few friends having fun.Not like the last video of me and a cobra where we never saw the cobra ever again after the race.Z06killa's car seems to have problems up top.Even though before the race he told me that his car should be running fine.it was still a good race.Second cobra is running pretty good. And is making alittle more power then the first one.

I hear ya. I wasn't trying to bust anyone's *****. Of the 50 or so local cobras, no one makes that kind of power with those mods. It was just an observation.

Both are strong running cars, no question about that.

I definitely would.

My car makes 1 or 2 more horse than the Cobras in the vid.

Jaeger, you have ported heads on that car? Seems to be running strong. What kind of 1/4 mi. times you running? I want to find a cam along with these ported heads I have on order to run like that if not better. Great running car.

No.Once i get ported heads i'll go with a different cam. This is a great cam only cam.I wouldn't reccomend nitrous with this one though. My track times aren't that great though.I haven't been to the track very often and am just getting into it.I'm hoping for better times when i get a chance to install my lca's.The car does constant 115mph with traction.

I think he traps around 109 or even lower sometimes. He traps 95 or so in the 1/8 mile, but not much up top.he's hoping for mid 11's next time he's out.We thought it was the car,but he got it checked, and it seems like driver error. But we'll see at the track.Just hope that IRS holds up to the 1.6 60' times he always pulls.

Nice runs!

Just FYI.. there is definately something wrong with that Cobra. If he's putting those numbers on the ground, and hitting 95mph in the 1/8th, he should be in the low 120mph range. He's only gaining 14mph out the backdoor.. come on now. a stock LS1 or Cobra gains 20-22mph at least. I ran my car and trapped 93ph in the 1/8th and ended up with 118mph traps with minor cooldown on the Cobra. Either on that 109mph run he missed a gear big time or his car is blew up and put it self back together.

I have ran cammed LS1's with all sorts of cams, and even heads/cam cars and usually put 2-4cars on the cammed cars and about half a car on the heads/cam car.. I lost to one heads/cam car putting down 424whp, but that was before my long tubes and retune, which netted me 20hp, 30trq across the entire band.

Well like i said. We're not sure yet.But the black cobra in the video runs fine, and makes alittle more power then the red one.And he didn't put 2-4 cars on me.Send me some info on your car per PM if you don't mind.

There absoluely is something wrong with that Cobra, or the driver, if he can't pull a car that only traps 115mph. That's just a few mph over stock traps.

Jaeger - Your sig pic is unacceptable here. I removed it.

109mph? Where are you guys, the himalayas? With only 460rwhp I went 11.29 @ 123mph just for reference.

unit, i dont know but i have seen plenty of 03 cobras here in fl with your hp figures and i am still yet to see one that runs as strong as yours. also, we cant always go by the same principle " driver error" because damn if it is each and every time driver error then why race if there is always going to be an excuse? i can honestly tell you that the weather up in detroit where you live must be awesome for those 03 cobras because here in fl they just dont move. perhaps it is also moroso's track that is a piece of ****? i just dont see you doing 11.2 here in fl. however, i dont question your skills as a driver at all, but i would be in awe if i saw you get below 11.7 or so here in fl.

I hear ya...but this guy is saying a bolt on (pulley'd) Cobra that makes 478rwhp traps 109mph? Stock Cobras have run 112mph. See what I'm saying?

You think I'd drop a full second going from Michigan to Florida? I race with a DA around 2500 usually and 85degrees F.

...and I could run a 11.7 while standing on the brakes before line.
