Default Power Steering Pulley

How in the world do you remove it??!!?! I bought a GM Power Steering pulley removed from NAPA, but it is not even close to fitting. Is there some special tools that is need for this? If there is, I think I will disembowel myself with wiffleball bat

Why would you have to remove the pulley? You couldn't just undo the 2 bolts that hold the pump to the braket?
