Default 100k LS1? How much is it worth...

Found a gorgeous clean '99 T/A thats seems perfect... Thing is it has nearly 100k on the odometer. Asking price is 12.5, though he calims to be flexible.

I'm in the Bay Area, CA and prices for LS1 F-Bodies are rediculous out here. so keep that in mind...

Any tips?

I would spend the extra gas mileage and get out of the bay area when looking for T/A or Camaro if the price is high in the bay. I've been to Chino, and Oxnard, Ca and seen some LS1's cheap , with little milage. Search the internet and look for the car around or out of the bay area and you should be able to save some cash. For some reason LS1's differ in price city to city. Before I got my 98 Camaro Z28, I almost got a 93 Camaro Z28 with 95,000 miles and for 9,000 thousand dollars about 2 1/2 years ago. Good thing I keep looking and found the car I have now. Dealership prices of our car's are high. If the owner is the one selling the car hittem with a low price and walk away if he say no and tell him you'll call him if he changes his mind. Half the time this works out in your favor.

A 100K LS1 TA is worth $8500 at the most.

I've been looking for days and a half for a stock black/black M6 Z28/TA for ever now... Prices in the Bay Area are ridiculous.

Anywyas, drove the car and it feels just as strong as any other F-Body i;ve driven. Working on the price, but the miels do scare me. Guess I need to just keep looking.

I'd be more scared of the price than the miles.

Even in the Bay area that's a bit high. If you really want a less expensive one you're gonna have to look a little more. Here's a couple i found:

1998 PONTIAC TRANS AM, V8, at, fully loaded, lthr int, t-top, cust whls, red, very clean, must see, fast, Vin #4LXE638, $7500 firm, plus fees, credit cards accepted, Ocean Imports, 15601 Producer Lane, Huntington Beach, 714-891-9355

1999 PONTIAC TRANS AM, pw, pdl, tilt, cc, CD, lthr int, t-top, chrome whls, 5.7 LS1, 6 spd, all orig,$11450, United Motors/ Camaro King, www.camaroking.com, 818-364-7999

I didnt know what you were looking for as far transmission goes M6 or A4 but there is plenty more on www.autotrader.com

I agree with everyone else, it's too high of a price.

Way too high man. I am about to sell my '99 TA with 65k on the clock for $12,5. Keep searching this site, there are always good deals.

I gave $8k for a 99 6sp, 109K miles. Commuter, highway driven. It is VERY clean. That was a year ago too. I bought it with the intentions that if needed something major(tranny, clutch, rebuild the engine), I got a good enough price to fix it an not feel like I got jipped.

Knocking on wood, the car has been perfect, except for the headlight gear.

12.5K, that is
