Cheap Fluid Damper pulleys on ebay
Hi All,
I spotted these Fluid Dampers the other day whilst browsing for LS1 parts: Cheap Fluid Damper
Has anyone had any experience with them? They seem cheap at $59.
At 7-1/4" OD I don't think they are under drive but that's not a problem for me since I'm only running a water pump and alternator. I can easily machine up a larger pulley for the alternator if I want to under drive it.
It looks like the guy is a shop of some kind and has good feedback. It also looks like he's sold plenty of dampers for other engines as well.
The only reason I can think that they may be cheaper than the rest is that there is no mention of SFI cert. However another seller has what loks like the same damper and is saying it's SFI approved: SFI approved fluid damper
What do you think?
Cheers
Michael

Considering how important the harmonics of your motor are, I'm more than happy to pay the $200 to buy a March Fluid Dampened pulley. I know they were specifically designed for our cars by a competent company, and are SFI certified. Most importantly, they're race proven. Thats a critical part you don't want to skimp on.
In my eyes, its kind of like throwing 918 springs in when you just installed a G5X3 or a T-Rex. Not a good idea.
