Default Headers, untuned, make you run richer?

Curious if this was true, since I've heard it a few times.

I did a dyno today (first time) and they commented on the fact that I was a little lean (14.X to 1).

So if I get long tube headers, just curious if it would benefit me even more if it runs a bit richer.

My air/fuel was perfect after my header/true dual install. I have a friend who went lean after his install and one who went pig rich. There's a lot of factors that can effect the air/fuel that don't even have anything to do with the headers. But, as a general rule, it does richen the car up a bit.

Typically, the motor will run more rich after a header install.

Ok, so typically, but not all the time.

All cars are different, I should know this.

Thanks guys.
