Default straight vs xpipe

how much horsepower difference would it be to just run 2 straight 3 inch pipes from the headers and dumped at the axle than going with an x pipe setup dumped at the axle. say both running bullets or 1 chaber flowmasters.
would the x pipe outpower the srtaight duals?

The X scavenges. You don't want to run straight pipes. If for whatever reason you don't want to do an X, then at least do an H.

you will gain prolly 5-10hp with an x-pipe not to mention it will sound like a v8 instead of two 4 cylinders...(well not quite a comparison but it will sound much better with the x-pipe) actually an h-pipe supposivly sounds even better than an x but won't make quite as much power...either way you get more than two straight pipes...

DO not do the 2 straight pipes unless you want your car to sound like a bean truck.

An X will make more power and torque across the power-band - OVER open headers, straight pipes(or header extensions), H-pipes, and Y-pipe set-ups. I've seen and tested them all over the last three and a half years.

A Dr. Gas! X that is - which is all we've tested.

many of the sponsors have them...and some sell their own true duals (tsp, speedinc..just to name a few)...dr.gas x-pipes are like 200 bucks...that is typical...and yes expect to pay double to go over the axle than dumped...just to give a general idea...and comparing apples to apples speedinc has true duals (dumped) for 550 and their over the axle duals are 1200
