Question heater probs...

thanks for coming in... im trying to figure out what is causing my heater to act crazy. so i start the car and it reaches operating temp and the heater still blows cold air... but it doesnt do it all the time... and once the temp gauge was reading that it was hotter than it usually is... i know its right or pretty close to being right because i have a 98 and their temp gauge is pretty accurate. its kind of a wierd situation... any input would be greatly appreciated. and yes the **** is turned to hot not cold. thanks.

Could be a malfunctioning blend door where it is stuck on the open position and only letting cold air in

Or a leaking vacuum line, do you hear any hissing under the dash. A lot of the climare control stuff uses vac. solenoids.
