Exhaust wrap on uncoated headers
i can get uncoated pacesetters for dirt cheap brand new. If i wrap them, will they still rust as bad. And how long do uncoated headers last. Will they start crumbling to pieces after a couple years.

Header wrap is a bad idea. It will accelerate rusting. Most header manufacturers, if they have a warranty, will void it if you use wrap. You can use a metallic header spray paint that can be found in most auto part stores. Uncoated headers won't crumble, but will rust pretty bad in just a few months. I would at least use some type of header paint.

Take my advice and get them coated.I put uncoated headers on my first car and had
nothing but problems.Air tubes fell off and all sorts of crap.It shouldn't cost you more than $150 to caot some long tubes, and you will be much more happy.
