Default BOlt ons before cam and headers

I have a 99 F-body LS1 and M6 in my 1970 corvette with no EGR or AIR, C5 air bridge with large K&N conical filter sucking in front of the radiator, stock MAF, stock TB, stock manifolds (C5 drivers, Camaro passengers) and true duals with no crossover.

I am planning on a ported TB and a smooth tube between the air bridge and the TB. Also planning on an ASA cam and custom long tubes and of course tuning. Might as well throw and LS6 intake on as well.

Is it worth going to an aftermarket air bridge? Is a new MAF worth anything if I am going to get tuning anyway? Is there anything I am not thinking of?

An aftermarket air bridge, like smooth bellows I'm assuming? Waste of money and little improvement. There was just a thread about those recently and the guy absolutely gained nothing from smooth bellows.

Aftermarket MAF's are useless also. I've read on here people actually losing hp with the GMS MAF. Stock one will be fine.

A pulley and a ported stock TB should also be on your list of things to get.

The air bridge is the C5 equivelant of a lid. It is the cobra hood shaped piece that goes over the radiator.

Is it worth switching to the Z06 style MAF?

Jeff, once you go with the big cam, you'll probably want to up grade to a 90mm TB/intake setup. At that time, a Z06 maf is needed. Until then, you should be alright with the stock MAF.
