Street Racing & Kill Stories - 1st race with a c5 and my 408

I have had the motor in the car since the summer, and runs like a champ thanks to the guys at at hpe. My 1st race was with a 5.0 with a 175 shot, I did loose that one due to a fan belt broke rigth after I left the line. :bang:

Anyway..The ride home from work, I had a black c5 riding my a$$, soon as trafic cleared he pulled next to me. I flipped open my cutout, and left the car in 2nd (40mph), He rolled down his window and put three fingers up and started to count down. On one, I nailed it, I pulled on him hard and I do mean hard! After 3 runs, he gave up while I had about 7 cars on him all motor (no spray) :nod:

Its hard to find anyone that wants to run in this area, even if my girlfriend drives! This cam is a beast, spanking the tech at 7400 rpm!

I bet when you opened the cutout it kinda set the tone... :devil:

Not really sure. I will findout here in the spring though, guessing at deep 10's with spray.

Yeah, his face was pricless when I cracked her open, even worse when I passed him like he was setting still.

Nice, I abandoned my QTEC in light of true duals and never looked back. I still remember the looks on people's faces when my car went from tame to beast.

What kind of power is you car throwing down without the dope? If you dont mind me asking?

When I get out of school I am getting a C5 Z06 and throwing in a 427...maybe an LS7...and you better believe I will turbo the hell out of it! :devil:

havent had it on the dyno, but I can put a few car lengths on the new cobras with the pulley option. I wona guess high 400's to low 500's. The motor is setup for na, but it seems to like nitrous though..cant figure that one out yet :eyes:

I dont have any more pics as of yet, but i do have a vid clip of it at idle and a few revs on the cutout. I emailed ls1sounds to host the vid, so I hope it will be on there soon!

Just dont pull next to me in that turbo 427, it would be like 2 pro mods going at it! lol
