Default exhaust help

just finishing up on a 427 project and i have a 3 inch x-pipe with dual bullets right now. i was wondering if it would be better to just run the x-pipe with no mufflers at all.

It would probably sound like ***. I would put something on there, bullet, Sweet thunder, Borla XR-1. '
When I took my Borla off to run the true duals, I drove to the muffler shop with headers and a open Y pipe, It sounded like ***. I couldnt imagine the X with no mufflers sounding much different.

With a healthy 427cid setup and true duals dumped before the axle, I'm thinking you're going to want some kind of muffler under there. I would recommend the Borla XR-1 since it flows great, is one of the quieter ones that will fit, and reduces quite a bit of rasp. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
