Default LS6 man. and header question

I have a 1998 Trans Am.....I want to get an ls6 intake manifold....I also want to get SLP long tube headers.....I see that with the ls6 manifold i can remove the EGR...I can also get the slp headers that doesnt require the EGR and is 100 bucks cheaper then the headers that need the EGR.......What to do???....Go for manifold and headers that dont require EGR...thanks

Yeah, get rid of egr. Though it will throw an ses code, so either live with it, or have it set to ignore by someone with tuning software.

Why would you possibly want SLP headers? I've heard more bad comments than good about them.

I second that opinion... SLP's hang WAY low even on a stock height car. There are much better options out there from mild to wild. Look up some Pacesetters for budget and Kooks are also some really nice peices.

I am real happy with my coated Pacesetters and TSP ory for $600. They have great ground clearence on my lowered car and the gains are about the same from all the lts out there. Give TSP a call!
