Is the swap from stock ls1 to ls6 head worth it? No, not for the work entailed, but if you're going to be unbolting your stock heads, look into a set of Stage II 5.3's, Stage II LS6 heads, or AFR's.
A set of 5.7 Ls1 heads can match up well to a cam:

But, most people swap from stock 5.7's to 5.3's or LS6 heads.

well how much does it generally run for a mild port job on ur stock 241 casting heads, i mean what are good things to look for when selecting somone to do them for you?
and aren't the patriot ls1 heads just stock heads with a port job?

z06 heads are usually around 800 I think... I would rather look for used heads instead of getting yours ported. You can save yourself some money that way. Look in the for sale section for some used heads, ebay also. I just bought these off ebay for 800. I have no idea how well they will do, but they have to do better then z06. And they came with patriot gold double springs, titanium keepers, ferrea 1 piece valves. I think these heads have 100 miles on them. A new set is also for sale, should go cheap. The porter is very well known in my local area for his abilities
